The management of the University of Lagos, UNILAG on Thursday announced the gradual reopening of its hostels to students as a result of the second-semester examinations of the 2019/2020 academic session scheduled to hold from August 26 to September 25, 2021.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Oladejo Azeez the university’s Registrar.
Prior to this development, the Senate had at its meeting of July 12 instructed the urgent closure of all hostels.
This was done to checkmate further spread of the COVID-19 infection which broke out in the hostel as at that time.
According, Oladejo ij the statement assured that the university will adhere strictly to all COVID-19 protocols throughout the examination period.
He further disclosed that special arrangements had been made with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and Gbagada General Hospital for necessary isolation and treatment of incidence of COVID-19 case during the period.
