The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, has sent a note of warning to all and sundry who have been calling him with different appellations’ such as: Biggest Daddy, Sugar Daddy and Convener, to desist from calling him with such forthwith.
Pastor Kumuyi, who dropped the bombshell on Monday, disclosed that he is content with the simple title of ‘pastor or teacher of the word of God’, than exaggerated titles.
“And then our young people, biggest daddy, sugar daddy, let’s stop all that. Let’s stop the biggest daddy, biggest daddy, because that connotes there is biggest daddy and small daddy. I’m your pastor; I’m your father- in- the -Lord, that’s scriptural. When we say our father- in –the- Lord, then you remind yourself that you are a daughter or son-in- the –Lord.
“So let’s cancel completely biggest daddy”, he asserted.
The holiness preacher also expressed his disproval on the usage of the title ‘convener of GCK” for him when he is outside crusade venue, saying such is misleading, as he prefers to be simply known and called the Deeper Life Pastor or teacher of the word of God.
He said “I don’t want you to continue calling me convener. You know we are in Bible Study and someone was calling me convener of GCK. I am the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, not convener. I teach the word.
“Crusade is good, evangelism is part of my calling, but when we divert everybody’s attention to convener of GCK is not proper. Teacher of Deeper Life and the pastor of Deeper Life Bible Church, which is who I am, he declared.
Pastor Kumuyi has also cautioned people in the habit of circulating unfounded revelations on social media to seize from sharing such visions or revelations, which have no scriptural values.
The cleric condemned the recent misinterpretation of dreams practiced by people nowadays, as they negate biblical practices as seen in the case of Daniel’s interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar dream, which was in line with eschatological studies of the holy writ.
The cleric gave the caution, while teaching on a topic “Becoming better under the teaching of our King” at the Monday Bible Study of the denomination.
Recalled that the titles” Biggest Daddy and Convener GCK, were invented for the clergy during the recently launched programmes of- Impact Academy and Global Crusade with Kumuyi, respectively.
